Purchase of AIRSIM and Data Package
a You can purchase an AIRSIM Prepaid SIM Card from our website and we will mail it to you. Upon receipt, please download our two Mobile Apps AIRSIM ROAM and AIRTALK ROAM.
b You can select and purchase your desired data and voice package in Mobile App AIRSIM ROAM prior to your every trip. Simply select the destination, duration of trip, effective date and then checkout by credit card. Upon arrival at the destination, the data package will be effective immediately.
c You can top up your AIRSIM from the website or Mobile App AIRSIM ROAM, the balance in AIRSIM account can be used to purchase data package.
d If you cannot find the corresponding data package duration that fit your travel period, we suggest you select a data package with a longer period. So that your user experience will not be affected by the time difference of different countries.
e AIRSIM is reusable. You can purchase data package in Mobile App AIRSIM ROAM before your every trip. The expiry date of the AIRSIM account will be extended 1 year automatically from the date of any purchase of data package.

USER GUIDE
- If you have purchased an AIRSIM Prepaid SIM card, please remember to select a data package in our Mobile App AIRSIM ROAM (AIRSIM App) before use.
- Upon receiving your new AIRSIM card, please insert it into your mobile phone to verify signal reception, this will confirm that the AIRSIM card is functioning properly prior to your departure. Otherwise, please contact our 24/7 Customer Service Support.
- Upon arrival of your destination, insert your AIRSIM into the mobile phone, TURN ON “Data Roaming” function of the AIRSIM slot and the AIRSIM will be transformed into a local SIM in about 3 minutes.
- During these 3 minutes, the signal bar will change from having signal to no signal. After this period, the mobile operator name will be displayed again along with signal strength. You can then try using the data service.
- AIRSIM is reusable. You can purchase data package in our AIRSIM App before your every trip.
- With Mobile App AIRTALK ROAM, you can receive calls after call diverting, make calls to destination country and call back home, incl. landline, while you are overseas.
POINTS TO NOTE
- All purchased data packages can be used from 14 days before the selected effective date and within 30 days from the selected effective date.
- Except for 24/48 Hours Data Package, the daily data usage time is from Hong Kong / Singapore time (GMT+8) 00:00:00 to 23:59:59. There is no pro-rata calculation regardless of the activation time of data service. 24/48 Hours Data Package is a continuous 24/48-hour session starting from service activation.
- “Day Count” data package starts upon data connected at designated destination considers as the first day, consecutive use of Day Plan is required. All unused data allowance cannot be carried forward to next trip and no partial refund will be made.
- The AIRSIM account has 1 year validity after first registration in AIRSIM App. The expiry date of the AIRSIM account will be extended by one year automatically from the date of any data package purchase or top-up.
- For customers using unlimited data plans: if you experience slow speeds, it may be due to the daily high-speed data allowance being fully consumed. Please wait until 00:00 (Hong Kong / Singapore time) for the high-speed data to reset.
- For customers using a fixed GB data package: if your data suddenly stops working during use, it may be because you have reached your total data allowance. Please purchase a new plan and activate it in the App under "Valid Package" and follow the provided instructions.
- AIRSIM works on unlocked mobile phones and tablets only, but not compatible with pocket WiFi device (MiFi). You can use data sharing (Tethering) on your mobile phone or tablet if applicable.
- Most overseas mobile operators have Fair Usage Policy (FUP). Please check mobile setting “Cloud Storage” and “Cloud Backup” before travelling, you may choose to TURN OFF “Back Up Over Cellular” temporarily to reduce roaming data usage and back up only when your phone is connected to Wi-Fi while you’re overseas.
- You need to turn on data roaming function of your mobile phone in order to use AIRSIM at your destination. There is no roaming charge involved. However, whenever you remove the AIRSIM SIM or switch to other SIM card, please remember to turn off data roaming function of your mobile phone in order to avoid unnecessary roaming charges.
- AIRSIM provides mobile data service, it does not support SMS.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- If you are unable to use the data service, please restart your mobile phone and switch flight mode ON and OFF. This will prompt AIRSIM to search for the network again.
- Sometimes, mobile phones cannot automatically search and detect the network due to frequency changes or being at boundaries. In such cases, please select the carrier network manually. You can refer to the setup procedures from APN and Carrier list.
- If you do not receive a signal or your package is not activated upon arrival at your destination, please make sure your mobile operator is set to “AUTO”. If you are still experiencing issues, please follow the steps below to refresh the card slot. This will help refresh your phone for the frequency change while roaming.
iOS Users: Dial 00001 from your phone (using the AIRSIM slot)
Android Users: Find the “SIM Tool Kit” icon from your phone (follow the steps below)
- For Dual SIM handset users, try to insert AIRSIM into SIM Slot 1 and make sure the data service is assigned on AIRSIM.
- APN will be set automatically in most regions. If you cannot access the internet, please check if the APN is correctly set (especially for Android devices). Manual APN setup may be required in some destinations. Please check the APN and Carrier list and the setup procedures.
- For iPhone users, please remove any “Description Profile” that might have been installed from previous Telecom Operators, as it affects the auto APN function.
Go to [Settings] > [General] > [Profiles & Device Management] > “Delete” - If the mobile phone cannot connect to the network, please try to unplug the SIM card and plug-in again. The SIM slots in some dual SIM handset support different frequency bands, please insert AIRSIM SIM into another SIM Slot and try again.
- Signal reception at the border can be unpredictable. We recommend using AIRSIM only after you have crossed the border.
- If the connection fails, it may be due to poor coverage in your current location, please restart the mobile phone in a different area.
